Earnings
Estimates & EPS: Finnhub (adjusted, non-GAAP) · Profitability: SEC filings (GAAP) · Dates are NYSE calendar days and may still move
Expected profit, beating estimates and being profitable are different things
- Do analysts expect a profit? A negative EPS estimate means a loss is expected (marked loss expected). Expected earnings growth doesn't make a company profitable.
- Did it beat expectations? Actual vs estimate on adjusted (non-GAAP) EPS. A company can beat by losing less than expected: it's still a loss.
- Is it actually profitable? Official (GAAP) net income over the last four reported quarters, from SEC filings. Independent of analyst estimates.
